Description & Details: A postdoctoral fellow position is available to identify novel compounds that restore antimicrobial susceptibility in multi-drug resistant Gram negative pathogens (e.g., carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae).  Work would involve use of high throughput screening approaches to identify novel adjunctive antimicrobials; experiments to explore and optimize antimicrobial properties; and work to define activity spectrum and mechanism of action.  Our goal is to achieve proof of principle for these novel therapeutics and identify leads for clinical development.
